Public Show Information

Our public show times and shows can be found above and on our Now Showing Page.  Our shows change each month, so make sure to check back for updates.

What to Expect: Each of our Public Shows feature both the scheduled show and a Sky Tonight Presentation.  During the Sky Tonight Presentation your host will show you how to find constellations, planets, and other interesting celestial objects you can find in the sky that evening.  All shows last about 50 minutes in total.

Ticketing & Admission: May be purchased in advance online or at our Box Office that opens 20 minutes before each show time. Ticket sales and online validation close 5 minutes after show time. Late admission is not permitted, so plan on arriving a little early. The Box Office and the Planetarium are in the far North-East corner of the building, down the hallway with The John D. Hooser Memorial Exhibit and video wall.  All ticket prices are listed on our Now Showing Page.  Tickets should only be purchased through eTix and no other 3rd parties.

Parking: Please note that if you park in the FS-11 Lot next to the building there is a fee but you can also park for free on the shoulders of Hickory St or Oak St next to the building.  Parking is by the University Transportation Services .  All information for Sky Theater parking and how to purchase it can be found here

Advanced Ticket Refunds & Exchanges: Refunds or exchanging tickets for another show can be requested up to an hour before showtime.  After that time, no refunds or exchanges for advanced tickets can be processed.  Exchanges can only be processed for shows occurring within the following 2 weeks.   To request a refund, just email skytheater@unt.edu and include all the ticket information that you were emailed (we need the name the tickets were purchased under and the ticket serial numbers).  Your refund will be processed by the next business day but please allow 3-4 buisness days for your card to be credited.
